Rooms and Rates
Regardless of which room you are staying in at Viking's House, you will still have the ability to hang out with the family in our common areas which our guests are free to use. In addition to our verandah (rumored to be the coolest spot to beat the heat in all of Great Bay) we have a second story porch with stunning views, you may even choose to take some of your meals up there. Scheduled to open in Spring 2005 will be a third story lookout with perhaps the highest vantage point for miles. All rooms feature nature's lullaby, the sounds of the sea to lull you to sleep. You have free reign in the yard at Viking's, where you can enjoy orange, guinup, pomegranate, calabash and other fruit trees. If you get too much sun you will find aloe in abundance.
"Lion's Cave" is our largest unit, part of the new block of rooms we have added. The decor is out of Africa and this cool and large room will sleep 1-4 guests with the full sized bed and full sized futon. For groups on a budget we can add the single bed and two single cots with air mattress, making sleeping room for 7. Lion's Cave has full kitchenette, two ceiling fans, two private verandahs, with two entrances to the room. The private bathroom also has a tub. The room as well as the larger of the two verandahs is wired for both 110V and 220V so no need to weigh down with converters if you are carrying any of your own electronic devices or appliances to use from home. The location is on the main downstairs floor and the room is ideal for families, groups or one or two people who want alot of space and privacy. "Seaview" is attached to the main house. It is decorated with the sea in mind, which you can view from out your front window. Seaview will accommodate 1-3 guests. The private bathroom has a shower. Seaview has an entrance off our large and airy front verandah, which is shared with the owners of Viking's House and family. Seaview has 110V electrical outlets only. "Bluff View" is a second story room with excellent views of the Pedro Bluff and sea to the southeast, and views of the Santa Cruz Mountains to the North. It can accommodate 1-3 guests. It is also a full kitchenette, with tub and shower in it's private bathroom. Ceiling fans, tiled floors and screened windows. It has identical amenities as Bluff View.
