Viking's House is ideal for single travelers, backpackers on a budget, groups and families who are interested in natural Jamaica. You can hike or mountain bike miles of trails that begin literally right outside your door. Beaches are steps away, the hard part is deciding which cove to call your own for the day. Rather that being cooped up in an all inclusive, you can experience the cultural immersion of an owner operated small guesthouse. You aren't going to bump into crowds and crowds of tourists at Viking's House. You are more likely to meet Rastas, fishermen, farmers and members of our large extended family who live in the surrounding homes. We encourage you to explore our off the beaten track "road less travelled", we promise you'll be glad you did.
NATURAL BEAUTY...
If you aren't yet familiar with Jamaica's best kept secret, let's just say the vibe in Treasure Beach is alot like the vibe of Negril about 30 years ago. Our community is committed to keeping tourism on a small scale, so don't worry about the secret getting out. At the height of the tourist season our roads are still pretty quiet. Great Bay is the furthest village on the eastern edge of Treasure Beach. Beyond Great Bay the coast is undeveloped for many miles, as there are no roads or houses at sea level past our village until you reach Port Kaisar.
Viking's House is located steps from the beach, with stunning views of Lover's Leap, the Pedro Bluff, Great Pond, the Santa Cruz mountains and more. We are literally surrounded by a panorama of natural beauty in all directions. Easy day trips from the house include YS Falls, Black River Safari, Lover's Leap, Negril, Mandeville, Alligator Pond and much, much more!
We are one half mile off the "main road" of Great Bay. Our neighbors are all family, therefore safety and hassle are never a concern. There are many children in the family, so if you are bringing your kids they are bound to find instant friends.
THE COMFORTS OF HOME...
Our location is central to all the natural beauty of Treasure Beach, well off the beaten track, so from total relaxation to high adrenalin eco-adventures, we are your ideal home base. "Home Base" is a great way of describing Viking's House as our ROOMS are set up to have the comforts of home (including your own private kitchen facilities) and pleasing decor. Our rooms are screened, with complete kitchenette, private bathrooms and fans. We can accommodate up to 13 guests in our four available rooms. We have rooms that sleep between 1-7 guests. For those who would truly like to take it easy, we offer meals and snacks, maid and babysitting service.
Combined with the fact that the owners are on site, and we strive for our guests to feel like family, you'll soon be calling Viking's House your home away from home in Jamaica.

In addition to conveniences like internet access (use our desktop or bring your own laptop--WIFI access now available) and on site mountain. bike, kayak and other GEAR RENTAL we offer a complimentary reference library where you can expand your knowledge of Jamaica, Rastafari, the Sea and more. We have a large collection of Reggae, Jamaican movies and documentaries and the like available for viewing on DVD and video. We offer a variety of other services including laundry, digital photo printing and more.
Your room has a kitchen where you'll find everything you need from coffee grinder (great for the beans we roast outside on the fire-Jamaica's FINEST FRESHEST COFFEE) to fridge and everything in between. Fear not, if you don't plan on cooking we offer an extensive Food Menu with everything from fresh baked bread, cookies and cakes to Italian, American and Ital Jamaican cuisine. So whether you are in the mood for ackee and callalloo or pasta alfredo with shrimp, we've got you covered.
PEACE AND QUIET...
For those who want more than a drumming session, ping pong or dominos at our family bar, be aware the nearest nightlife will require a taxi ride into Calabash Bay and the more "populated" areas of Treasure Beach where there are a few bars which stay open into the wee hours. Things get pretty quiet in Great Bay fairly early.
THE BEST VALUE...
Despite trying to provide alot more than a simple room, we'd like to think we offer the best value in Treasure Beach. Most rooms are $35 US per night (discounted even further for stays of one week) and groups can get a room for a week for as little as $12 per person per day.
